Welcome to Windsor Minis Minis Rugby starts at Under 7s and ends with the Under 12s. Boys and girls are eligible to join when they are five years old. For the Under 7s and Under 8s we play Tag Rugby and introduce contact from the Under 9s onwards. Windsor Rugby closely adheres to all the RFU guidelines to ensure that all our children enjoy safe and secure playing conditions. All our coaches are fully trained by the RFU and many have RFU refereeing qualifications as well. All our coaches and volunteers are CRB checked. Minis Rugby takes place on Sunday mornings and we have over 200 players coming down to Home Park or travelling to other local clubs for fixtures. Sessions start at 10.00 am and finish around noon, with food, refreshments and a licensed bar. As can be seen from the season’s calendar, we have a mixture of training sessions, fixtures and tournaments. Each year our Under 9s through to Under 12s go on tour together, enjoying a full weekend of fun and rugby in the UK. Our Under 8s have also toured for the last three years, also enjoying an activities based weekend of team building and rugby. The competitive curtain raiser for the season is our own Windsor Minis Tournament on the first Sunday in October sponsored by the Windsor & Maidenhead Observer and we have also been very successful as a club in all the other tournaments we have attended over the last few years. Windsor Rugby was awarded the RFU Seal of Approval and the Sport England Clubmark in 2004 – the third rugby club in Berkshire to receive this accolade. Windsor Rugby works closely with Berkshire Sports whose role is promoting excellence and good practice in sports clubs throughout the UK, this was followed recently in 2009 with the 'Whole of Club' Seal of Approval, Windsor being the first club in the country to achieve this award from the RFU Karl Trowbridge Youth Chairman 25th June 2009 P.S. From this page you can find a list of coaches and managers for each age group, our policies and each age group website. Have a look at these individual websites, they will give you a real flavour of the club. Membership costs and application forms are within the Membership section and directions to Home Park and our Pitch Layout can be printed from the Home Page as well.

2009/10 Season Youth The Youth season starts on Sunday 6th September 2009. Training starts at 10.00am Sundays. Update on Parking Romney Lock carpark – payment for parking is enforced at all times. Home Park Public carpark – payment for parking is enforced between 9am & 4pm Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays. The parking area opposite the public toilets is reserved & free for Home Park Badge holders only at all times if working/using the site. It is not free parking for those who work in town or commute to other locations. All marked bays including those adjacent to club houses form part of this car park & are enforced as above. King Edward VII carpark - there is an informal agreement/arrangement for Home Park Badge holders to park at the Datchet end of this car park on a Sunday between the hours of 9am & 2pm from Oct 1st to March 31st each year. This arrangement was introduced to stop parking on the road/grass areas between gates 1 to 4, which appears to be working well. Subscriptions Would all members please note that their subscriptions have to be paid by 21st September and parents can join as Social Members (£60) and are then entitled to enter into the Six Nations International Draw and other International ticket draws. The club has a lot of expenses to pay prior to the start of the season, for example, balls, training equipment, fixtures handbooks, bar and catering supplies, kit shop stock etc. so we would be grateful if you would pay your subscriptions very promptly. Smoking This is to remind all members that smoking is NOT allowed anywhere in the clubhouse on any day.

Touchline Code of Conduct
For some time the RFU have been concerned at increasing levels of misbehaviour by spectators and parents whilst watching rugby played at the under 18 level. As a result, and at the request of Clubs, they have produced two posters and a code of conduct card which they hope will assist Clubs when dealing with this issue. Click here for the poster that shows good practice (green) and unacceptable (red). Click here for a poster with suggested actions that Windsor Rugby should take for a range of possible misdemeanors. Whilst this is aimed at Youth Rugby, it might be advantageous for all supporters of the senior game to set an example in their behaviour.
